Interview With Outfit
DREAMY EUPHORIA UNDERPINNED BY SUBTLE ELECTRONICA
Outfit formed in Liverpool just over a year ago. Their first low-key, icy pop songs emerged soon after with a hint of mystique. Living together in one big house, and feeling like their lives were one long after-party, Outfit’s insular tracks confronted a curious sense of loneliness. These dark, disenfranchised mini-narratives led to the band being hailed as ones to watch. They followed that early buzz with debut single Two Islands, a near-seven-minute euphoric pop song with soaring vocals and synths all underpinned by subtle electronics. Their debut EP (Another Night’s Dreams Reach Earth Again) dropped this year on the equally young and exciting The Sounds Of Sweet Nothing label.
Outfit don’t do free downloads, which is a shame, though you can stream, their EP here. Luckily they do do good photos, which you can see here, along with the video for Two Islands.
Outfit are playing in Manchester at the Fuhrer Bunker on 16 June.
