Mountain Range is Leeds-based producer Stuart Thomas. Using just a handful of old instruments, a laptop, a bottomless caffeine drip, a million awful ideas and a few acceptable ones (his words), Stuart mixes together ambience and electronica to create post-modern soundscapes which pitch itchy, glitchy tetchiness against a backdrop of profound, lost and found sounds and stirring loops (my words). If you like Gold Panda or Message To Bears (see his intraview here) you’re sure to find something agreeable in Mountain Range.
