Interview With Giana Factory

CRISP AND INDUSTRIAL, DERELICTION-DAPPLED ELECTROPOP

Giana Factory – Loui Foo (vocals, sticks), Sofie Johanne (bass, synth) and Lisbet Fritze (guitar) – have been combining mardy synths, crisp percussive fills, atmospheric guitars and sparklingly fresh melodies to create their own unique brand of noirish pop since 2008. Before Giana Factory had performed live together, Lisbet and Loui were touring Europe with The Raveonettes, standing in for Sharin who was on maternity leave.

They record their music in an old factory building in Copenhagen, hence the name and clinical industrial sound. Next month sees the worldwide release of their debut album (Save The Youth) – a beautifully dark and melodic album packed with ice-cold synths, hypnotic vocals and blasts of light and colour burning through an ergonomic, electronic sheen.
