I’m happy to report that Liverpool’s Death At Sea are very much alive and enjoying life on dry land. A dizzy concoction of Sonic Youth, Pavement, The Strokes and Echo & The Bunnymen, the band serve up coruscating noise, haunting pop melodies, hedonistic abandon and brutally honest lyrics in a heavily-salted, lo-fi punk package that’ll swab the scurvy from your murky portholes.
Death At Sea released their debut AA-side single Drag/Selfless this week through Kissability/Transgressive and will completing their first UK tour this autumn (including support dates with Haim). Check out the official video for Drag below and download the Drive remix of the same track here. Like calenture and the clammy claws of cholera, it’s completely free.
