Interview With Bronze Medallists

FROM THE ASHES OF ADVERSITY TO A PODIUM FINISH

Bronze Medallists are named after a Bad Plus song and an Idlewild lyric. The East London-based four-piece formed two years ago in the unsettling wake of both band and relationship break-ups. Their sound is predominantly electronic and guitars are used whenever necessary rather than included through obligation. Their debut single (Mathematics) was released earlier this month through Tape Club Records. The video (below) was directed by David Higgs and reflects the band’s desire to explore visuals for a more complete and immersive experience.

Bronze Medallists have toured with bands like Tristram, Lulu and the Lampshades,  Stricken City and former Negative Narrative contributor Alessi’s Ark (see her intraview here). Because they’re such nice bods they’ve given us an exclusive download to pass on to you. It’s the Supercardiod remix of their last single, and you can grab it here. Be sure to try and catch a show as soon as possible too. With the Olympics arriving imminently the band are dipping for the finish line, eager to upgrade their current podium standing to silver or gold.
